PX2KX REX Cable Gland

A PX2KX REX barrier cable gland is an explosion-proof means of terminating wire braid or tape armored cables. Certified by ATEX for the safe glanding of cables in Class I Zone 1, 21, and Zone 2, 22, Division 1 and 2 ABCD hazardous environments, it features a sealing system that enhances reliability while reducing risk, man hours, and costs.

This type of cable gland is manufactured to meet a wide array of standards, specifications, and codes. Examples include:

The PX2KX REX cable gland utilizes a RapidEx liquid pour resin seal, which curbs installation time and associated costs. It’s particularly effective on multicore cables where a traditional compound is difficult and time-consuming to apply.

Available construction materials include brass, electroless nickel-plated brass, stainless steel, and aluminum constructions. EUTEX International’s standard offering is nickel-plated brass. Optional accessories include locknuts, earth tags, serrated washers, entry thread seals, shrouds, and ingress discs.

This cable gland type features deluge protections and is intended for operating environments of -60°C to +85°C. Many applications can benefit from PX2KX REX explosive atmosphere barrier cable gland products.
